What is it?: The Fundrun is a PTA fundraiser. The students will run a possible of 36 laps. There will be games, a DJ, and fun tunnels. Every student gets to run whether money is donated or not.
When is it?: The Fundrun will take place on Friday, April 22 during Specials. Our 3rd grade students will participate from 10:00-10:50. Parents are not required to attend, but are encouraged to come support your child while they run. The students are encouraged to get pledges each day.
How to raise money: There are two ways for sponsors to donate.
Option 1: A"flat donation." This means that it doesn't matter how many laps the students run, the amount they donate will not change. For instance, they may donate a "flat" amount of $10, whether the student runs 1 lap or 20 laps, the amount donated will still be $10.
Option 2: Donate an amount per lap. This means the sponsored amount will be paid for each lap completed. For example, if someone decides to donate $1 per lap, they will pay the total amount of laps. If a student runs 20 laps, then $20 will be donated. If they decide to donate $5 per lap and the student runs 20 laps, $100 will be donated.
Other Info: Anyone can donate. There is an option to sponsor online or the pledge form can be filled out. It is encouraged to return the pledge form daily. Students will earn prizes and the pledge form will be returned at the end of the day. If sponsors participate online, there is an online report that will be pulled each day to give prizes to the students who received sponsors. Also, each day the class with the most pledges will receive a party. Some of the parties are silly string, water balloons, dance party during recess, etc. (The class report starts fresh each day.)
